This Scholarship has been established to assist students who are committed to completing their program of study at the Academy. Scholarships are awarded based on the student’s response to the question, “Why do you feel you should be awarded the Presidential Scholarship and if not awarded, what are your plans?”
There are two age brackets in which the scholarships are awarded, 22 years of age and younger, and 23 years of age and older. Four scholarships are awarded each quarter and each award will range from $1,000 to $2,000. Scholarships will be awarded in three equal quarterly installments through the students first three quarters of attendance after the award is granted.
Deadlines for application are December 20, March 20, June 20, and September 20 of each year and awards are granted during the following quarter.
Eligibility:
1. Applicants must answer in essay format and are not to exceed one typed page in length.
2. Applicants must complete an application.
Scholarship Awarding Panel: The panel consists of the Director of Student Services (also serves as the Chair), the Senior Retention Coordinator, and one Associate Director of Financial Aid.
The International Academy of Design & Technology offers scholarships annually to both incoming (new students) and continuing students, in order to encourage the pursuit of higher education. Applicants must submit a separate application for all scholarships for which they wish to apply.
Scholarship applications for all Incoming Students are available from the Financial Aid Office or the Admissions Department.
Any award under $1,000 will be awarded in the term for which the award is granted. Awards of $1,000 to $4,999 will be applied in equal quarterly installments though an academic year (three quarters) of attendance. Awards of $5,000 or more will be applied in equal quarterly installments throughout the program length. Withdrawal from the Academy nullifies any unused scholarship funds.
Students may apply for multiple scholarships, but will only be eligible to receive one scholarship per scholarship cycle, the scholarship with the greatest cash value.
